From April 15 2012, Reading Rock Academy will be offering individual lessons and short courses for Drums, Bass , Guitar and other instruments.
Whether you’re a complete beginner or want to improve your own playing Reading Rock Academy has it all in one place for you.
Instrumental Courses
Drums for Beginners
This course will be run by our own Drum Tutor and will run for 6 weeks during the summer term. It is an ideal starting point for anyone new to drumming. During this short course you will be taught the basics of drumming to enable you to start being productive in a band situation.
Dates & Times:
Saturdays 10-11 am at our Bulmershe Court Campus
From 20 April 2013 – 25th May 2013
Course Fees:
£75.00 for 6 weeks
Very limited places as we keep the groups small to ensure maximum personal support during the course.
Age Range : 10-16 years old
Individual Lessons
We also offer individual lessons across Bass, Drums, Guitar too. Our Instrumental tutors are all approved by Reading Rock Academy and lessons only take place in our approved venues.
Graded Exams for Guitar:
We are able to take students through to graded exams for Electric Guitar as our Tutors are members of Registry of Guitar Tutors and have taken students successfully through London College of Music exams for the last 15 years.
Individual lessons are 30 minutes and cost £15.00 per lesson. Lessons are normally during term time and terms apply for cancellation fees.
Workshops and Graded Courses for Schools:
We have over 5 years experience of running successful performance workshops, after school clubs and graded courses for schools in the local area. Reading Rock Academy is very keen to support schools in providing extra curriculum support for music composition, performance and graded exams in guitar, bass and drums.
